Let us begin with the most important: we wish you a merry Christmas and the whole year 2008 filled with joy!

Right after we say goodbye to our guests that are spending these holidays in our apartments, we will continue with preparations for the upcoming season. We are always striving to further improve our offer to make your stay truly unforgettable.

Judging by the sun that heats our island these days, spring is already knocking on our doors. We are impatiently waiting for the nature to wake up from its hibernation and bring new guests to Kaprije.

We would like to thank those of you who contacted us during the autumn and were patient enough to wait with their booking request until the year end. We are now starting with reservations for the next year. All dates are still available, and the sooner you send us your request, the better chance you have to get the desired term (especially if you plan your stay in high season - July and August).

This year

Before we inform you about the improvements planned for the upcoming season, let's see what has been done over this year.

Swimming pool construction

Our newly built six meters long swimming pool brings most joy to the children. It contains high quality water filtration system, underwater lights and hydromassage. Volley net, water-polo goal, balls and air-mattresses will bring fun to adults too.

The swimming pool is located in the garden, lined with lavender shrubs and canopied by olive branches. It is accompanied by deck-chairs, beach umbrellas and a sun shower. For nicer night mood, pool area is lit with 4 lanterns.

Air-conditioning and heating

We installed air-conditioning (heating/cooling) in apartment Lavender to make it a pleasant retreat in hot summer days.

In winter days, an antique wood-burning stove (provided with abundant firewood) warms up apartment Rustico.

We equipped both apartments with additional electric radiators, so now you can choose Kaprije even for your winter vacations.

Other news

A new 18-gear mountain bike accompanies our old bicycle to facilitate your exploration of the island (free for our guests). The terrace is equipped with additional parasols with lightweight bases, easily portable to the beach. Both apartments got telephones to avoid your high roaming expenses. Our new baby bed was tested this summer by one year old Olivia from London.   

A new ship line was introduced, so four ships daily connect Kaprije island with Sibenik.

The path to the Nozdra beach is improved. Now you can reach this beautiful cove by bicycle. It is accessible to children's pram as well.

Season 2008

Here are the news planned for the upcoming season:

- pavement of the swimming pool area with natural stone

- solar pool cover and solar water heater for extending the swimming season

- ceramic tiles behind the house

- renovation of the facade and the fence colour

- hovel above the entrance to apartment Lavender

- new colours of apartment Rustico's interior

- satellite TV & DVD home cinema now in Rustico too

- new fridge for apartment Rustico

- new films in our DVD collection

Diving center Jadranska Galathea will again operate in Kaprije the next season. There you can arrange diving trips or kayak rental.

Book of Impressions update

We uploaded all comments you wrote this year to our Book of Impressions that is placed in the apartment. In case you disagree with having your comment published on the Web, please let us know and we will immediately remove it. If you have not written or e-mailed us your comment, you can still do it. Your suggestions are very valuable, they help us to introduce constant improvements (a fresh example is installation of air-conditioning and new parasols). 

Web site soon in German and Italian

Translation of the complete Web site is ongoing. This way we will get closer to the guests coming from German and Italian speaking countries.
